Working Women, AFL-CIO Would better pay improve your life? How about affordable health insurance, a secure pension or a safe job? Do you worry about losing your job, or having your job sent overseas? Fill out the 2006 Ask a Working Woman survey by clicking here: Today, we're inviting working women to take part in the 2006 Ask a Working Woman survey. This Labor Day, the tens of thousands of responses will be delivered to every member of Congress and state and local officials around the country. During the 2004 presidential election, thousands of working women spoke out through the survey about their priorities: affordable health care, good jobs with benefits and control over our work hours. This November, every member of Congress is up for reelection. Let's make sure that the candidates hear what matters to us as working women. Whoever gets the most friends, family members and co-workers to complete the survey will have a chance to win a free trip to Chicago for the national release of the survey results. Also, the top 25 runners-up will be invited to join a conference call with women leaders from around the country to strategize about how to make women's voices heard. Please help us spread the word by urging all the working women you know to fill out the survey. After you complete the survey, just enter their e-mail addresses in the "Tell a Friend" box, and we'll do the rest. Working women work hard-let's make sure we're heard! AFL-CIO & Working America P.S. We're asking working men to help spread the word to all the working women they know. Just forward them this e-mail. Visit the web address below to tell your friends about this Tell-a-friend! If you received this message from a friend, you can sign up for Working Women, AFL-CIO. |
